Purpose Statement
As your
professor-shepherd, I intend to equip you to fulfill the Great Commission by
helping you become competent in the following five areas. I intend to shepherd
you toward competency in…
1. Spiritual Maturity: I intend
to shepherd you to develop a vital Christian life
and witness, which manifests itself in all personal
relationships and vocational endeavors.
2. Biblical Exposition: I intend to shepherd you to gain a basic
mastery of the canon of Scripture, identify the core
message of the Bible, and learn to interpret and communicate the Scriptures
effectively.
3. Theological Integration: I intend to shepherd you to understand and apply the
doctrines of Christianity to all areas of life and ministry.
4. Christian Leadership: I intend to shepherd you to cultivate a
godly disposition marked by wisdom, humility, charity, and grace, and develop
skills vital to ministry in the church and the world.
5. Ministry Preparation: I intend to shepherd you to acquire
knowledge and skills necessary for Christian
ministry.
